Lego boy

Here is Jack's latest Lego project. 
 He is getting better at making
 more complex projects.

It gets a little warm..

Monday was the nicest day this week.  

Sunny and warm weather brings out the summer play for our kids.  While Sarah was here they got out the hose

 and had a water fight in the back yard.

It was Oregon's spring break and Sarah came to stay.  On Monday, the weather was sunny and warm.  So, Monica and I took Sarah to the zoo.  Monica rode in the backpack so she only got to run around at lunch!

Uncle Pat's 80th Birthday Party

science project

Every spring the kids are excited to see the daffodils bloom.  They love to pick some and put them in colored water.  Dave took these pictures for me to get the effect putting daffodils in colored water!

Spring in Vancouver?

This is very unusual.  We have snow on the third day of spring!  This is the view outside of our house on March 22nd, 2012.

Button Factory

This was a rainy day project.  Cece made a button factory with legos.

This is Cece's shirt but Monica likes
pulling it out of Cece's drawer
and putting it on herself as a dress.

First facing dress and latest skirt

Here is my first dress I made using facing, with Cece modeling and Monica in the background.


Facing is when you apply a fabric to the underside to get the garment to lay better.  


Cecilia needed a new dress for church choir and the dress code is black and white. 


 I still have the sleeves to put on but this will work through summer.

She got out her new mandala making set so she wanted to show the pictures she made.  






















This is the latest skirt I made as a gift for one of Cecilia's classmates.

Cece, Jack, Ella and Ryan had their fingers painted green!

Leprechaun Trap

Cece and Jack spent some time yesterday 
working on a Leprechaun Trap.  
Cece was sad today there wasn't
a pot of gold left behind... 
Monica was trying to play with
a big kid toy in the background 
so that is why she was fussing.

swimsuits in March

This was a rare day!  It got into the high 50F's and Cece and Jack dug out swimsuits to play in the backyard.  We have had a little bit of cabin fever around here with the rain!

Shark Teeth

This is an interesting picture of Cece.  This is Cecilia's adult teeth growing in before her baby teeth fall out.  Dentists sometimes call them Shark teeth.
