Crazy hair day 2012

 At Our Lady of Lourdes School, we were celebrating crazy hair today.  This was Jack and Cecilia's interpretation:

You could also wear crazy socks, which didn't mean much to Jack.  For Cecilia, (whom has to wear white or blue tights/socks everyday) this was a big deal!  Here she is in red tights and white and green frog socks.

Out of the box

Monica can climb into the toy box but she can't get out!  She has to have someone come and lift her over the edge!

The Kann kids came over for a playdate.  Here they are playing kittens.  Monica just watches.

Here they are watching a movie with popcorn while Monica takes a nap.  It is a good group of kids!

Craft Day with Jack

On Tuesdays, Jack and I do a craft project. This week we made a car from a wood set.  Jack colored the pieces and helped me put the car together.  It is not holding together well so I am glad I got a picture!

Paving Stone

This was a big project I worked on for Cece's classroom.  Each child (21 of them) made a paving stone with their footprint.  The stones are going to be auctioned off as a set in the school auction next weekend. Here is Cece with hers!

Checkers anyone?

Santa brought this table to Cece when she was 2.  This year,
she got checkers to play on it.  She and Daddy are getting
competitive.  

Jack is his name...

During breakfast, Jack called out, "Come here Mom, I got to show you something!"
"I can write my name!"
This is the first time he did it all by himself!

Good investment all those dry erase markers we got
for Christmas, they all love using them!

A Feisty Girl

Today was Monica's well baby appointment.  She is healthy and doing all the right things.  What was really remarkable was she received 4 shots and she didn't cry.  Not a whimper or a cuddle.
MA Rebecca was just as shocked as I was!
I offered some nails for her to chew on after as a joke.

She is a litttle sore today...She was running a fever needed to rest.

Anya's house

On Friday we went over to Anya and Jason's house
and the kids got the last of their Christmas
presents: Jack got  "brain quest" books
(which go everywhere with him!)

Cece got her own book of Fairy Tales (so beautiful)
that she can read.

Monica got an outfit and a book.
But the best part was this pretty silver beret!

Lego build

The local library has lego time every month.
We went during winter break and the kids had a great time! 

This was Jack's creation.  The theme was "winter".
He made a star wars bobsleigh.

Cece was building 2 creations.  The green thing is 2 people under
mistletoe and the other two pieces are friends sitting around a campfire.

18 months

Today Monica is 18 months old.  This is her trying berry Jello, she really liked it.  It made her hands and face match her sweater!

Preschool Jack

I was very lucky the last day I helped in Jack's classroom.
  He was class leader (the primary teacher helper).

Christmas Tree Hunting

So this is catching up on all the stuff we did over Christmas.  On the last day of school before Winter break, Dave got off early and we went to get our Christmas tree.  It wasn't raining or very muddy and the kids loved running around the Christmas tree farm in the fresh air.

 I was trying out taking pictures of the kids.  It is easy on cloudy days and cute children!

 It is a good thing Dave always brings his camera tripod when we do this.  We are usually able to get nice family photos while getting the tree.
